When you sign up for news from Conscia, you consent to Conscia sending you emails with news about IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, whitepapers, invitations to events and webinars, and other news about Conscia.
Who distributes the electronic marketing material?
The publisher of the newsletter and marketing material is Conscia. Our full information is:
Conscia is also the data controller for the processing of your personal data in connection with your receipt and use of our newsletters and electronic marketing material (hereinafter simply referred to as “newsletters”).
What information is collected about me?
Conscia collects your first name, last name, company name, and email address as well as your areas of interest for news. In order for us to document your consent, we also register the time you sign up for and your IP address, and if you sign up again, we will also register this time.
We collect information about your use of the newsletter – including whether and when our newsletter is opened, which links are clicked on, and thus which of the material is of interest to you.
In addition, you should be aware that if you click on links in received emails to websites, additional information may be collected about you if you accept that the website uses marketing cookies. The current privacy notice for the website must inform you about the data manager or data controllers, what information is collected, what the information is used for, etc.
What do we use your information for?
When you sign up for news from Conscia, we use your email address, your name, and your specified areas of interest to broadcast news about IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, whitepapers, invitations to events and webinars, and other news about Conscia and our group companies.
The information we collect about your use of our emails with news, etc., are used to improve our service so that in the future we can become even better at targeting and adapting the content to your interests, just as we use the information for statistical purposes in anonymized form.
We use your time for registration and unsubscription as well as your e-mail address to be able to document your consent to receive electronic marketing.
If you have provided information for other purposes as well, we will inform you separately about our processing for such purposes.
Our basis for processing information about you
The basis for our processing of your information is your consent, in accordance with the Data Protection Regulation art. 6 (1) (a) (Consent) and the Danish Marketing Act § 10, para. 1.
Information on transfers to third countries.
We use Adobe Marketo to send out newsletters. We have entered into a written data processor agreement with Adobe regarding their processing of personal data for us as a data processor to ensure that your personal data is only processed according to our instructions, in a confidential manner, and that the necessary security measures have been taken against your information being compromised or misused.
Adobe Marketo uses sub-processors in countries outside the EU, and therefore your personal data may be transferred to third countries. The countries to which transfers can take place can be found on Marketo’s website: https://documents.marketo.com/legal/sub-processor-list. The transfer shall be made based on the standard contractual provisions of the Commission. By subscribing to our newsletter, you further expressly agree that your personal information provided to send you newsletters and marketing materials, as well as information we generate about your use of our newsletters, may be exported to and stored to countries outside the EU in connection with our use by Adobe Marketo.
How often are newsletters sent out?
We send you news, invitations, etc. when we think we have something important or new to tell you or hold an event we think you may be interested in attending. We do not necessarily broadcast our news at regular intervals, and you can expect to receive a few emails from us per month.
We do not pass on your information
We do not pass on your information to others for commercial purposes. We will only disclose information about you if we are required to do so by law or if we are required to do so by a court order.
You can always correct or change your information
You can change or correct your contact information (your email address, name, etc.) at any time by unsubscribing from our newsletter and then signing up again.

You can always revoke your consent
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter and electronic marketing at any time. Once you have unsubscribed, you will not receive any additional marketing materials from us by email unless you have given us other consent for us to contact you.
After your cancellation, we will send you a confirmation that we will delete you from our list of recipients.
You can unsubscribe by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link, which is contained in every e-mail you receive from us.
How long does Conscia keep personal information about me?
We store and process the collected information about you, as long as you are subscribed to the recipient list for our newsletter. We keep the documentation for your consent for up to two years after we have last used your consent / the consent is revoked. Our processing takes place here based on the Data Protection Regulation art. 6 (1) (c) or 6 (1) (f), as we are immediately obliged to carry out the processing and as we have a significant interest in being able to document that we comply with the Danish Marketing Act § 10. Then we delete the information about you, including your email address.
If you unsubscribe from the recipient list for our newsletter, all statistical data about your use of our emails will be anonymized. The anonymisation takes place in such a way that it is not subsequently possible to de-anonymise the information again.
