Jesper Kastoft Bertelsen

Jesper Kastoft Bertelsen is Director of Cyber Defense Services at Conscia Cybersecurity, where he leads an organisation delivering a 24/7 detection and response service to customers. He heads a department spanning detection engineering, threat operations, frontline operations and service transition, and connects day-to-day security operations with executive leadership, turning operational insight and threat realities into clear direction for customers, teams and management.

Jesper’s background is rooted in investigation. He spent a decade in the Danish police, the latter part in investigative roles, including as an IT investigator focused on securing digital evidence from computers and phones. He later moved to the Danish telecommunications sector, where he worked across defensive, offensive and counter-surveillance disciplines. He is a trained penetration tester of applications and infrastructure, giving him a first-hand understanding of how attackers think and operate.

This combination of investigative, offensive, and defensive experience shapes how he leads security operations today, with a strong focus on building services that scale and on the future of the SOC, where automation and AI increasingly support human analysts.
