Conscia, a leading provider of mission-critical IT infrastructure in networks, cybersecurity, and cloud, intends to acquire the Swedish Splunk-specialist Siemify Software. Increasing complexity, regulatory requirements, and cyber threats drive a strong demand for Splunk. Cisco’s acquisition of Splunk also means an increased interest in the platform among Cisco customers. With the acquisition of Siemify, Cisco expert Conscia ensures the ability to offer the highest expertise and partner level also on Splunk. Siemify has five employees with a total of 28 Splunk certifications and a significant network with Splunk competencies. Completion of the transaction is due during the second quarter of 2024, subject to approval from relevant authorities.
Splunk is the market leader in SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), and in using analysis of machine data to increase organizations’ resilience against cyberattacks and operational disruptions. A strong demand is driven by increased cyber threats, growing complexity, and higher regulatory requirements from, for example, GDPR, NIS2, and DORA. The Cisco acquisition of Splunk is expected to close by the end of the third quarter, 2024. By combining Cisco’s data and solutions with Splunk’s analytical capabilities, they will address the growing needs within digital transformation, cybersecurity and data driven business development. Conscia Sweden also recently entered a strategic partnership with Splunk.
Siemify was founded in 2017 with a focus on Splunk and is today a complete provider of the platform. The company has about fifty customers in finance, fintech, and the public sector but also in manufacturing and retail.
